Antigua Commercial Bank is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced individual to provide strong support to the Risk Manager by assisting in researching and analyzing data and financial information promptly and effectively; assessing risk accurately, and providing sound recommendations to Management. The duties to be performed include but are not limited to the following:
  • Researching, analyzing and compiling data on financial information, providing sound recommendations and accurate risk assessment.
  • Consulting with and advising operating units, management, the Board and where necessary, the public on all Risk related issues.
  • Building, compiling and maintaining industry data to develop an up-to-date and relevant industry database for referral and utilization in the accurate profiling and risk assessment of customers. Ensuring the maintenance, verification and integrity of the Company’s financial records, by reviewing the account balances monthly, performing periodic checks and making comparisons with budget, prior year and/or future trends.
  • Liaising with Central Bank and other Risk Managers with regard to benchmarking procedures for effective maintenance of the Group’s Risk Management.
  • Evaluating on a test basis loan requests, analyzing financial data, confirming collateral security, checking references and assessing risk accurately ensuring security exists and in place with a view performing accurate risk assessments and ratings.
  • Conducting risk assessment on new products to be offered by the Bank.
  • Overseeing all risk-taking activities, including reviewing transactions and models to ensure that they are being conducted within an appropriate risk control framework.
  • Ensuring that the Bank’s liquidity position is efficiently and effectively managed.
To perform the job successfully an individual must:
  • Possess at least a bachelor degree or post graduate degree in business/Finance/Banking
  • Certification in Anti-Money Laundering, Risk and/or Compliance
  • Possess a minimum of three (3) – five (5) years of comparable work experience.
