Antigua Commercial Bank is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Manager Information Systems to provide strong support to the General Manager by providing leadership, knowledge and skills to manage multiple information, communications and technology systems and projects, including network and systems support, client services, application services, voice systems, data, imaging and office automation in order to ensure that ACB’s information technology systems function efficiently, effectively and securely at all times. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for the strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation and coordination of the information and technology systems for the ACB Group.

The duties to be performed include:

  • Serves and participates proactively with other members of the senior management team in developing and executing strategic plans to optimize the use of information technology in support of business objectives.
  • Develops and maintains the annual operating and capital budgets, policies and standards for information technology systems consistent with plans and established financial guidelines. Must ensure that capital and operating budgets are aimed at minimizing costs related to acquisition, implementation and operations of IT systems.
  • Ensures that the gathering, processing, distribution and use of this information occurs in a timely, accurate and cost effective manner through ongoing review and education programs at executive, management and user levels.
  • Develops and enforces policy and procedures to ensure the protection of IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the ACB Group.

To perform the job successfully an individual must:

  • Possess at least a Bachelor degree or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Three or more years working in direct management of a major IT operation.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years comparable work experience progressively in managing functions and departments dealing with information handling, work flow and systems.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience should also include substantial exposure to computer systems including multiple server environment and integrated information systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of developing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning would be an assets.
  • Experience multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of security and networking technologies.

Other Technologies and Experience:

  • Experience and familiarity with Request for Proposal (RFP) drafting and processing
  • Managing technical help desk and maintaining Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Hardware and software evaluations and makes recommendations based on organization goals and objectives
  • Strong written and verbal and presentation skills
  • Change management process to include problem resolution follow-up and change notification
  • Proven track record of effectively delivering results in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Financial/banking applications
  • Implementing and/or maintaining PCI DSS and EMV technologies
  • Managing SAN and Blade Solutions
  • Technical/Working knowledge of ATMs
  • Strong technical acumen with the desire to be “hands on” with the team when necessary
  • VMWare vSphere 4.x/5.x: ESXi and VCenter
  • Microsoft Windows 2008, 2012, Active Directory, Exchange 2013
  • IBM: x-series servers
  • Cisco Switches, Routers and Firewall, Wireless Controller, Access Points
