Antigua Commercial Bank is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Application Database & Web Developer to provide strong technical support to the Network Administrator/LAN Analyst in managing the Bank’s Enterprise Data Repository and customized applications; to execute any software development of applications and provide technical support for all vendor-supplied applications software, including but not limited to Core Director, 4Sight, Synergy, ProfitStar; and to work independently with minimum supervision while performing a variety of complicated tasks related to application development and database administration. The selected candidate will also be required to conduct research and make recommendations on database design and optimization; to recognize the needs of the business; and to create new applications that respond to those needs.

Further duties to be performed include:

  • Architect websites, design data-driven applications, and find efficient client-server solutions using best software development practices.
  • Manage the upgrade strategy for RDBMS system releases, ensuring that the Bank adheres to any intellectual and copyright law governing operating software.
  • Coordinate scheduling of backups, data pushes, business intelligence ETL processes, and data integration processes.
  • Be responsible for the overall integrity and continuous uninterrupted operation of all application software across the Bank, including but not limited to Core Director, 4Sight, Synergy, and ProfitStar.

To perform the job successfully, an individual must:

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with programming and data management emphasis or professional IT certification e.g. MCDBA, MCAD, MCSD with a minimum of three years’ work experience in a comparable position.
  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio.Net, Symantec Backup Exec, Core Banking Platforms, Synergy Applications, 4Sight and Internet Banking would be an asset.
  • Familiarity with Net development and Microsoft technologies, including SharePoint, Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server and Active Directory.
